Old Sulians is committed to protecting the data and privacy of the users of its website and its members, to the extent required by UK law and beyond. In plain terms, we only collect the information we need to improve the services of the website and no more.
For anonymous users
For anonymous website users (i.e. those not logged in to our membership platform), we collect website usage information, none of which is personally identifiable according to GDPR regulation.
We use a service called PostHog which records, for example, which links and buttons on the website are clicked. This information is used to determine which of our pages are useful to users. If you would prefer to not send this information, you may opt out at the bottom of this page.
In general, we do not use cookies, so we are unable to do common practices like linking repeat visits together and track our users. We also do not include common tracking scripts like Facebook, Twitter, or Google Analytics.
For those who log in to our membership platform, we do use cookies but with the member's consent. We use cookies for example to determine whether the member is logged in. We of course do sometimes need further information from members, such as names or email addresses, which we protect as personal data under GDPR regulation. At any time a member may request for their data to be removed from our platform.
What about other websites?
This website may contain links to other websites, some of which may be operated by third parties. We provide the links for your convenience, but we do not review, control, or monitor the privacy practices of websites operated by others. Whenever you leave this website you will be subject to other websites' policies.
As mentioned above, we do not use common tracking scripts like Facebook, Twitter, or Google Analytics, so those services and companies are unable to monitor your activity on this site - except of course if you click on the links to pages on their platforms that we may provide.
